Meet the founders
Two brothers, one big idea.
We grew up in these schools, in this community. We both did after-school — and we remember exactly what it felt like when it was done well, and when it wasn't. That gap between what those hours could be and what they usually are is what we kept coming back to.
We run NextWave Kids ourselves, day to day. We're at the door when your child arrives, we know every kid by name, and we're reachable when you have a question. Every staff member is background-checked and chosen because they genuinely enjoy working with children — not just because it was available.
We built this here because we care about this specific community. Not a franchise, not a corporate program — two brothers who wanted to create something they'd actually trust with their own kids.

Why families choose us
What sets us apart
A real facility, not a rented room
A full former school building — ten classrooms, a playground, a fenced yard, and ample parking. Room to run, learn, and grow.
Small, personal, and local
We keep our crew intentionally sized, so every child is known by name — never a number in an oversized program.
Time that actually counts
Homework done, skills built, energy spent. Children leave having learned something and made a friend — every single day.
Non-negotiables
The safety details we get asked about
Not fine print. These are the standards we hold ourselves to every afternoon — and we're happy to show you the paperwork on your tour.
PA state clearances
Every staff member carries current PA Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances.
CPR & first aid certified
Certified responders on site during every single program hour.
Authorized pickup only
Photo-ID sign-out, an approved adult list per child, and no exceptions.
Secure, monitored entry
One controlled door, fenced perimeter, and cameras on all common spaces.
Low ratios, known names
Small groups so no child is ever a face in a crowd.
Allergy & medication plans
Written plans, labeled storage, and trained staff for every documented need.
For parents
Peace of mind, built in.
Behind all the fun is a facility parents can trust — a real, secure former school building made for exactly this.

Good questions
Parents ask, we answer
Everything you're probably wondering, in one place. Still curious? Just reach out.
Yes — safe pickup from school is one of the biggest reasons families join. We transport enrolled children from participating local schools straight to our facility, so you don't have to leave work at 3 PM. Reach out and we'll confirm whether your child's school is on our pickup route.
During the school year, our after-school program runs from school dismissal (around 3 PM) until about 6:00–6:30 PM, giving you time to finish your workday. On school breaks, camp days, and summer, we run full-day programming.
Our programs are built for elementary and early middle-school-age children. If you're not sure whether your child is the right fit, get in touch and we'll walk you through it.
Our regular after-school membership is $650 per month for five days a week. Our first 10 Founding Families receive an exclusive rate of $550 per month, plus the $50 registration fee is waived. Summer Camp starts at $349 per week, and School's-Out Days are $85 per day. School pickup, homework support, activities, and access to the NextWave experience are included in after-school tuition. Space and transportation routes are limited and subject to availability.
NextWave is designed to be much more than a place for kids to wait until their parents finish work. Every afternoon combines school pickup, dedicated homework time, sports, STEM, art, games, outdoor play, and time with friends inside a facility built specifically around the after-school experience. Our goal is simple: make life easier for parents while giving kids an afternoon they actually look forward to.
Pickup and a snack, then focused homework time, then kids rotate through activity zones — science, art, sports, games, and more — with outdoor play before pickup. See the 'Day in the Life' section above for the full flow.
Yes. Beyond after-school, we run full-day summer camp, spring and winter break camps, and school's-out days for teacher in-service days. It's a true year-round program, so your coverage doesn't disappear when school does.
We're enrolling a limited founding crew right now. Fill out the form below and we'll reach out with enrollment details, pricing, and next steps — and hold your child a spot.
